Moving along....
I can already start to feel the build up to Tahlia coming close to Kalen's age. I am trying so hard not to do the mathematics and work out the exact night. I know it's just over a month away. Without trying though, all i am thinking is, of Tahlia's future, which can only be a good thing. I just can't wait till she is past this next point in life. I know it's crazy, and in so many ways she has passed the majority age gap, but to me it's important.
Tahlia is going well, loving her rice cereal, but only with breast milk. Which in true Tahlia fashion, keeps the pressure up on me to express 100ml a day. Tonight for the first time she ate some veges, which i was not expecting. I have tried fruit and gels and that was a no go even after 4 attempts, and then veges last night which she refused, but tonight it happened. I was going to leave it a week before trying any other night meal if tonight didn't work.
We went and watched our nephew play soccer again today, i just love it! I really regret now, not getting Tamika into it this year. Next year though, both Tamika and Jared will start, i never new they had an under 5's. Dad came and watched too, as he won't be able to go to another game this season. He is going to Europe for 5 wks, then is only home for 48hrs before his big operation.
School holidays have almost finished, and it's been nice having Tamika home. She has had Ella here a couple of times and been there a bit too. We had a catch up with a few mothers from school over the holidays at Amaze and Play which was nice. A lot better chatting over 2 hrs than the 5 min pick ups.
Ian has finished his first week of work at his new job, and has loved every minute. His new car is very nice, but it is very extreme having 2 six cylinder station wagons and the Festiva though. Lucky he has a Shell card billed to work :)

Just maybe...
Tonight is Ian's last shift at his old job. His boss rang me this afternoon to tell me he won't be doing any work but will be taking up the offer of all the beers that have been offered to him. Guess the Festiva sleeps out tonight. It's such a love/hate relationship i have with that place, but when the it all comes down to it, i guess the place will always have some special place in my heart as that's where Ian and i started going out.
Today was almost pleasant compared to normal with Miss Tahlia. She slept for 40 mins but was so content all afternoon. Played under her toys for half an hour, so hopefully she just may be settling down. See this is the optimist in me, every day i still believe things are going to change, and she is going to be a good baby!!!! She doesn't miss a beat with her rice cereal, gobbles it down instantly, this is day 4 so when can i add another meal, lol! Tresilian was looking good there for a day or two, but hopefully i see some light. I will definately be going to my local "cottage" and see if they can help out at all with a day trip, and will also book another GP appointment to confirm it is nothing medical making her so unhappy.
I have always said my babies have behaved in accordance with my pregnancies. Tamika, so carefree, never for a moment did i ever think something could go wrong, one happy baby, didn't sleep well, but only made a noise if she needed something. Jared, hard work and frightful, one very stressed mother after suffering a miscarriage. Kalen, perfect! Although i worried as anyone does, everything seemed so normal. Tahlia, well i don't need to explain this pregnancy as i was still very much suffering from the loss of Kalen, and now one very unhappy baby!!!!!!!!
Food for though anyway!

A short escape
Last night Ian and i slipped out after the kids were in bed for his leaving dinner. It was Thai, something i wouldn't rush out for again, but the night was fun. I enjoyed catching up with all the old staff and having a few laughs. The night ended up quiet, but we'll see what happens Friday on his last shift.
Tahlia went great with her rice cereal again today, but no such luck with any sleep or a nice happy baby. Oh well at least she is consistent.
It's nice having Tamika home today and Jared at preschool, so much calmer. I have unleashed a monster though with the computer, let her play a few games and that's all she wants to do atm, great for bribes though.

Solids have begun
After another visit to the clinic today, Tahlia has not gained any weight again in two weeks. The clinic suggested i start some rice cereal and hope solids may help in settling her down. They wanted me to get on the waiting list for Tresilian but i convinced them to wait a week and see how the solids go. I can't even begin to think how i could organise the family for a 5 nights while i stay in Sydney. We also have a similar system here for day stays, so I'll try that first.
Well the rice cereal went fine and she polished off all i offered to her. She then actually slept an hour and only woke to burp and is now back asleep on my chest, so fingers crossed this is our answer.
As i say to Ian each night, things can only get better!

The Easter bunny came!
What a lovely morning we had watching the kids totally overindulge in chocolate. Dad and my sister came over for a big BBQ brekkie and more chocolate, lol. The rest of the day we just hung around home and played board games and did the family thing. The weather was very iffy all day, hopefully it should dry up a bit tomorrow.

Little Miss
Tahlia is now rolling both ways. She hasn't actually connected it all up yet, but consistently rolls back and forth. She can now comfortably sit up on her her lower arms and go for toys and play when she is on her tummy.
Other than that she is still a lot of work. I have made Ian 'make me', try some rice cereal next week. If solids doesn't settle her down i am at a loss.

I'm a Godparent
Today Leigh asked Ian and I to be godparents for Jack, I'm so chuffed! Leigh is about to start his Christening procedures.
Here is the spunky little man with Tahlia when he was first born(Jack 3 days and Tahlia 2 months), Jack is now past 3 months and a total dream baby (yes very jealous here). Now I'm already thinking of the special things i can do for him, being my only godson!

Tahlia
Tahlia is still very hard work and never sleeps in the daytime. Nights are getting worse too with her waking last night at 9pm and 1am for feeds then back up at 5am. Oh well, lucky she is cute and i am well aware this shouldn't last forever.
I finally gave up on the Respisense monitor and have returned it for a full refund. 4 faulty replacements later, i just didn't trust the things at all.
Some photo's of Jared
Easter Hat Parade
This morning Tamika had her Easter hat Parade at school so i took Tahlia and Jared up with me to watch. All the hats were just gorgeous and it was a lovely thing to see. Tamika's hat didn't stay on to well, but she was happy to hold onto it.
Wow, one term finished already finished!
Tamika went really well with the Cross Country race on Monday but i couldn't get photo's. Some silly mother let their son take a basketball and had to chase him and stop him from kicking it at everyone, yes ME!
