Dad had his operation last week and is now home recovering. He was originally to stay in hospital 8 nights but left after 7, so that has to be a good sign. The day of his operation was a bit stressful as he he didn't come out of recovery till 5.30pm and we were told to expect 3.30pm. So looking back now it has been a big week, escpecially going to see him everyday.
Mini little drama with preschool of late, and that is with them putting Jared to sleep. He hasn't had day sleeps in nearly 2 years and may be going to school next year. Lately he has been coming home after preschool and not getting to sleep till 8ish, which is a far cry from their normal 6.15pm bedtime. Anyways we'll deal with that.
Tamika is going great and received her second merit award last week. Even more exciting though, is we are going to move her into the spare room. Ian suggested it, but i always thought we should have it as a spare room for his parents. So we'll talk to them and explain they can still stay and sleep in our room, but they do tend to bring the caravan down most the time now. So i'm off to set up her room now, Ian has already made her a new toy box and i bought her a bed canopy today off ebay.
Jared is cruising along, and sort of trying to keep out of trouble. Went to the shops the other day to get lollies for his party bags and he finds a sword (about a metre long and very well decked out in plastic) in a garbage bin on our way out. Trust the guy at the register to say it was ok for him to have it. Spent the next hour grocery shopping explaining to freaked out people that i DID NOT give it to him.
